How do industrial exhaust fans work?
Industrial exhaust fans are also known as negative-pressure fans.
Principle of Ventilation and Cooling: Negative-pressure fans rapidly expel large volumes of stale, hot air from the interior, thereby creating a state of negative pressure within the room. To restore atmospheric equilibrium (balancing the pressure differential), fresh outdoor air naturally flows into the room through doors and windows. This process generates a highly efficient convective airflow, effectively mitigating the temperature difference between the indoor and outdoor environments and increasing the oxygen content of the air, thereby achieving an indirect cooling effect within the room.
Taking the Koven Air Model 45k negative-pressure fan as an example: with an hourly power consumption of just 1.1 kW, it is capable of expelling an exceptionally large airflow volume of 45,000 cubic meters per hour—an output equivalent to that of 45 non-powered roof ventilators.
